November 29, 2007 – The US Gran Prix of Cyclocross (USGP) presented by Crank Brothers moves to the Pacific Northwest for the exciting series finale at the Toyota Portland Cup.
Taking place at the Portland International Raceway, the USGP Toyota Portland Cup will host the last two days of racing in the six-race national series and will determine the USGP Champions and who will receive an automatic USA Cycling World Championship berth. 2007 marks the fourth consecutive year Portland will play host to the USGP. Team CXW Represents at New Jersey USGPs
Hoping to repeat their domination of the opening round of the 2007 U.S. Gran Prix of Cyclocross, Team Cyclocrossworld.com’s Tim Johnson and Jeremy Powers rolled into Trenton, New Jersey for a weekend of racing at the inaugural Mercer Cups. While falling short of domination, Jeremy and Tim animated the weekend’s racing, making podium appearances both days. In her first full healthy weekend in nearly a month, Lyne Bessette raced the front of the Elite Women’s field and finished second on Saturday and Sunday.

November 18, 2007 (West Windsor, NJ) –Ryan Trebon (Kona-YourKey.com) and Georgia Gould (Luna) made it a weekend sweep at the US Gran Prix of Cyclocross presented by Crank Brothers -- Mercer Cup presented by Knapp’s Cyclery in West Windsor, NJ.
On a wet and cold day in New Jersey, the men and women’s field had to contend with rain, wind and slick course conditions in Mercer County Park. The miserable conditions provided a touch of drama and proved to be a key factor in each of the elite contests.

November 17, 2007 (West Windsor, NJ) – Ryan Trebon and Georgia Gould took wins in the elite races at the Mercer Cup presented by Knapp’s Cyclery – the second stop of the US Gran Prix of Cyclocross presented by Crank Brothers.
On a beautiful autumn day, Mercer County Park played first time host to a UCI Cyclocross race and was considered a huge success with riders, fans and local officials alike. The course, a first-time USGP venue, was mostly flat but with some very technical areas. The distinguishing feature of the Mercer course is the long sand pit which played a pivotal role in determining the outcome of the races today.

November 12, 2007 (Saratoga Springs, NY) – Through partnerships with the series sponsors Clif Bar and Crank Brothers, organizers of the US Gran Prix of Cyclocross presented by Crank Brothers have successfully taken steps to make the series as environmentally friendly as possible with the goal of making each event ‘Zero Waste.’
The goal of ‘Zero Waste’ is to divert as much solid waste as possible from landfill or incineration through recycling and composting efforts.
At each event in the six-race series, USGP organizers providing support and mechanisms onsite to reduce the amount of trash produced. At each event, there are multiple stations for recycling and composting with directional signs letting spectators know which items go in each station.
