September 21st, 2009 - (Sun Prairie, WI) Organizers of the US Gran Prix of Cyclocross Planet Bike Cup invite participants in this weekend's Planet Bike Cup and cycling fans alike to a Number Presentation Party on Friday, September 25th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Williamson Bicycle Works and Fitness, 640 W. Washington Street, Madison, WI.
The Sport's top professionals -including three-time World Champion Erwin Vervecken, World Silver Medalists and Planet Bike sponsored athletes Jonathan Page and Katie Compton, Swiss star Christian Heule, defending USGP Champion Tim Johnson, Andy Jacques-Maynes, Jesse Anthony and many more will be present to receive their start numbers for this weekend's USGP races.
Additionally, all riders who pre-registered for the USGP Planet Bike Cup will be able to pick up their race numbers and walk-up registration will be available for those wishing to sign up.
Williamson Bicycle Works, a local sponsor of the weekend's racing, will be hosting the party with free beer and finger foods for all guests. Series Event Director says, "We're really happy to be having this party at Williamson Bicycle Works. It's a great shop and they're excited to be throwing a party for some of the best athletes in the world and the local cycling community. We hope everybody comes out to see us!"
The 2009 USGP Planet Bike Cup races into Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, WI this weekend with two full days of cyclocross action. Amateur racing begins at 8:30am, the Elite Women race at 1:45pm and the Elite Men race at 3:00pm.
